Ezzo Budget is designed with your privacy as a core principle.
Data storage. By default, all financial data you enter into Ezzo Budget is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage on your device, and Ezzo Budget does not collect, transmit, or store any personal or financial information on external servers. You may optionally sign in with Google to sync your data across your own devices - when you choose to do this, your data is saved only in a file in your own Google Drive, which Ezzo Budget cannot access from anyone else's account. This is entirely opt-in and can be turned off at any time from Settings.
No account required. Ezzo Budget does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any personally identifiable information to use the product. Signing in with Google is entirely optional and only needed if you want your data synced across devices.
No bank connections. Ezzo Budget never asks for or accesses your bank credentials, account numbers, or any third-party financial service logins.
Minimal, anonymous analytics. Ezzo Budget collects lightweight, anonymous usage analytics - which pages and tools are opened, your approximate timezone/region, and whether the app is actively in use - to help us understand how the product is used. This is never tied to your name, email, or any other personally identifying information, and it never includes advertising pixels or third-party cookies. Most importantly, it never includes your budgets, transactions, balances, or any other financial data, which stay stored only on your device or in your own Google Drive and are never sent to us or seen by anyone else.
Data control. Because your data lives entirely on your device (or, if you opt in, your own Google Drive), you have full control over it at all times. You can export your data via CSV or clear it through your browser settings. Clearing your browser data or switching devices will remove your Ezzo Budget data unless you have exported a backup or enabled Google sync.
Third-party services. Ezzo Budget loads fonts from Google Fonts, which is subject to Google's privacy policy. If you opt in to Google sync, Ezzo Budget also uses Google Sign-In and the Google Drive API to store your data in your own Drive, subject to Google's privacy policy. No other third-party services are used.
Changes. If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
